    The Val d’Ambin Nordic area

    Located between 1,230 and 1,800 m altitude, the Val d’Ambin Nordic area encompasses the Bramans and Planay plateaus. It offers 29 km of free slopes accessible to all levels. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and groomed pedestrian trails await you in a magnificent setting facing the Vanoise glaciers.

    Ski touring – marked and secured routes 

    Dive into the ski touring adventure at Val Cenis, an experience rich in sensations and authenticity in a pristine alpine setting!

    At Val Cenis, ski touring is particularly highlighted, with several marked and secured routes:

    • Soday route (Termignon): 680 m vertical drop – approximately 1h ascent, descent via the blue Forestière and Girardière slopes.
    • Les Chalets de l’Arcelle (Lanslevillard): 590 m vertical drop – 1h30 ascent, orange marking, return via the slopes.
    • Col du Mont-Cenis (La Ramasse): 680 m vertical drop – approximately 2h ascent, descent via the red La Ramasse or green Escargot slope.

    These routes are perfect for discovering the discipline or training safely. For the more experienced, local guides also offer off-piste and freeride outings in virgin areas. As everywhere in the mountains, safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe) is essential.
